Home – Encounter – About Encounter We began our encounter gatherings in response to two things we were noticing: First, younger people were disconnecting from church. Second, people were too busy and too distracted by the busyness and business of life to focus on God. Our prayer is that the encounter gatherings allow people to encounter the reality and importance of God to every day and every minute we live.

The gathering is designed to allow you to step away from the hectic pace of life and have an encounter with God that will change your life. It is planned with a younger audience in mind, but it is not only for young people. It is for anyone who wants to seek God and we have people from all age groups. For young families we have our “encounter kids” ministry for kids ages 4 years old through 5^th grade that meets at the same time as the main encounter gathering.

If you come to encounter you will step into an atmosphere that is designed to cause you to slow down and prepare to encounter God. A full band leads in worship that incorporates new music along with hymns that link us to centuries of Christian history. The message will take the reality of God’s word and apply it to the realities of everyday life. Our bottom line goal is that anyone who comes to an encounter gathering would leave with a greater sense of how much God loves them and how much that matters to every moment of our existence.
