I was born April 4th, 1987 just outside of Chicago. From a young age I heard the truth of the Gospel from my parents as well as through the Sunday School and AWANA programs at Bethel (Yes, I have been attending Bethel my entire life). At a young age I put my trust in Jesus. As I grew older I realized more of the significance and sacrifice of this decision.
In high school God was at work and leading me to great things. At the end of my sophomore year I met Sarah, who would 6 years later become my wife. God was also moving in my heart, giving me a passion to work with youth full time. I saw how critical these years were and I wanted to dedicate my life to seeing Jr. High and high school students grow in their commitment to Christ.
In pursuit of God’s calling on my life, I attended Moody Bible Institute where I earned a Bible Major with youth ministry emphasis. Upon completion, I continued my education at Moody Theological Seminary, where I am currently studying to earn a Masters of Divinity Degree.
I have been serving in the youth ministry at Bethel for the last six years. I have been an intern for the last three years. I moved into the interim youth pastor position in September 2011.
In my free time I like to drive up to Lake Geneva with my wife and spend the day by the water (in a boat if possible) and eating widgets (Widgets are an amazing donut like snack. This alone is quite possibly worth the drive up to Lake Geneva). I love playing basketball, even though I have become the guy who is only good at taking wide open jump shots. The Chicago Bulls are my team and always have been. I enjoy campfires, cheeseburgers, ice cream twix, Montrose harbor, playing guitar, Wrigley Field, carving pumpkins, slip and slide kickball, Good Harbor Beach, and attending events at the United Center that include Derrick Rose.
