There is nothing more exciting than observing Christ transform a person’s life.  There is nothing I would rather do with my life than to personally experience as well as to be part of that process in the lives of those around me.  Martha and I were married in 1978.  We have three adult children, one son-in-law and one beautiful adorable granddaughter.  While we enjoy the peace and quiet of an empty nest, we love to have our children come visit us.

I am a graduate of Wheaton College and received my Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary.  In 2002, I completed by Doctor of Ministry from Phoenix Seminary.  Prior to coming to minister at Bethel in 2006, we served as short term missionaries in Ireland from 1984-1986, and then pastored for 18 years at a Bible church in Arizona.

I enjoy various sports such as racquetball, tennis, basketball and football.  But with my playing days passing me by, I can be found more often jogging and swimming laps (both of which I detest).  What a privilege to serve at Bethel.  What a caring community of people who live passionately for Christ and desire to impact our community and world with the “Great News” of never ending life through Jesus Christ.
